Warren Tranquada, Contributing Editor, Revenue
Diversification
Warren Tranquada is a Partner and Managing Director of
Pepin,
Tranquada & Associates. He works with nonprofit
clients in the US and Canada, helping organizations diversify
their revenue through commercial ventures, venture philanthropy
and other social entrepreneurship tools.
Warren has an MBA from Harvard Business School (distinction),
and a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University (great
distinction). While at Harvard, he focused much of his classroom
research on nonprofit entrepreneurship and performance management,
including projects with the management teams of the National
Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NY), the Fulton
County School District (Atlanta), BayCove Human Services
(Boston) and Building Blocks International (Chile).
Prior to co-founding Pepin, Tranquada & Associates,
Warren was a vice-president in the small business group
at The Chase Manhattan Bank. In this role, he managed and
created strategic partnerships for the bank with partners
in technology and financial services. He also has consulting
experience with Bain & Company, an internationally recognized
strategic consulting firm, where he worked with leading
Canadian companies in the aerospace, transportation, financial
services, forest products and principal investment industries.
Warren serves on the boards of Friends of Canadian Education
and Building Blocks International. Warren has volunteered
as a guest teacher in New York City and Boston public schools
through Junior Achievement and Citizen Schools.
