Michael Fraser provides government relations and communications counsel to clients across a broad spectrum of sectors ranging from manufacturing to health care to professional associations.
Prior to joining The Jeffery Group, Mike was Deputy Director of Communications for the Premier of Ontario and was responsible for managing policy issues at the forefront of the government's agenda. As Deputy Director, Mike was responsible for managing the government's corporate communications program, as well as managing communications issues such as the SARS outbreak in Ontario, the 2003 blackout, and other challenges confronting the Ontario government.
Before his service in the Premier's Office, Mike was a Senior Advisor to the Minister of Health and Long Term Care and was responsible for communications and issues management. Mike also worked in the private sector for a number of years, including with a U.S.-based multinational manufacturing company. Mike began his professional career at CBC Newsworld as a writer/researcher.
Mike remains active in politics at Queen’s Park and serves as an advisor to PC Party leader John Tory. He holds an MBA from the Rotman School at the University of Toronto. Mike lives in Toronto and is married to Erica House, Vice-President of Christie's Canada.
