Christopher Holz is Vice President
Public Affairs of one of Ontario’s leading government relations and communications firms. For over five years, Chris has provided strategic counsel to clients across a broad range of sectors including ROB100/Fortune 500 companies, self-regulating professions, hospitals, national and local non-profit organizations, and government agencies, among others.
Prior to joining The Jeffery Group in 2000, Chris worked with the Ontario Liberals at Queen's Park, and later served in the Federal Public Service as a strategic policy analyst in Human Resources Development Canada (HRDC). In 1998, he completed the highly regarded Ontario Legislature Internship Program. Active in Ontario Liberal politics, Chris was actively involved in the 2003 provincial election and has been a fundraiser for the Ontario Liberals for several years. More recently he served as a member of Prime Minister Paul Martin’s Ontario Communications Team in the 2004 federal election.
He is the co-chair of the White Ribbon Campaign, the global campaign of men working to end violence against women (currently in over 30 countries), and is co-chair and founder of the Ontario Legislature Internship Program Alumni Association. He is also a board member of JobStart – a non-profit Toronto-based agency providing employment and career counseling services.
Chris completed his undergraduate and post-graduate degrees at the University of Toronto, and conducted research work abroad for his thesis at the University of Bath (UK) and the Katholische Universitat Brabant (The Netherlands). He is married to Kathryn Babcock, a corporate fundraiser, and lives in Toronto.
