Results from surveys conducted with Humber College fundraising and volunteer management alumni and members of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Ottawa chapter, support past research conducted by the HR Council for the Voluntary & Non-Profit Sector (2006), the 2009 AFP Compensation and Benefits Study, and Cygnus Applied Research Inc. (2009). These studies indicate that the most frequent reason cited by individuals looking for a new job was dissatisfaction with salary.
